The owner of Every Street Garage has previously been employed by a local authority as a private hire/hackney tester. With over 10 years experience in the private hire/taxi industry. We can prepare all private hire and hackney carriage vehicles for the annual and intermittant tests to ensure that they meet all the requirements of the local authority test.

Private hire vehicles can seat up to 8 passengers (excluding the driver) and must have more than two passenger doors. Vehicles are subject to age limit restrictions. Depending on the age of the vehicle, between two and three mechanical inspections may need to be undertaken each year. -
Hackney carriages are licensed and tested in the same way as private hire vehicles. The only difference is that hackney carriages have a 'Taxi' roof sign and do not have to be linked to an operator. They can ply for hire from designated taxi stands within the borough or on a street and can be flagged down by customers.
